The gold standard steel
67 zen-like layers beautifully clad together on each side of the blade’s VG-10 core stainless steelthat creates the ripple pattern and achieves Uncanny rust resistance and edge retention. The “G” in the vg refers to the gold standard of stainless steel.
Wicked sharp and super strong
Our straight V edge is grounded acutely to a 16 degrees vs the standard 22 degrees knives you find elsewhere.
We use a sub-zero ice-hardenining process to achieve a rockwell hardness of 61 vs the standard 56-58 of “high-carbon” blades, indicating a higher level of toughness and wear resistance.
Samurai Origin
We care about heritage and good craftsmanship. This is a 100 year old knife maker that began crafting swords for the Samurai back in the oedo period.
